(one hour time slots)   I can help at the Book Fair during the day. (1 1/2 hour time slots)   I can help setup or breakdown the Book Fair. HOSPITALITY   Chairpersons: Margaret Matlack (mpmatlack@aol.com) and Lizette Thompson (blthompson@grandecom.net)   Bake sweets and treats for one or more events throughout the year.   Help out at luncheons or events. LIBRARY   Contact: Mrs. Honaker, Librarian (honakerp@friscoisd.org)   I can occasionally help in the library with filing, shelving, checking books in and out, etc. PUBLICITY PHOTOGRAPHER   Chairperson: Onalyce Lane (onalyce@tx.rr.com)   Volunteer to take pictures of PTA programs and events, such as performances at PTA meetings, spelling bees, math/science night, book fairs, Donuts for Dads and classroom special days and field trips. This covers anything that would spotlight the PTA and Fisher in the newspapers. BOX TOPS AND CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS   Chairperson: Natalie Freeman (nataliefreeman@tx.rr.com)   Gather, sort and cut box tops and labels donated to the school. CULTURAL ARTS   Chairperson: Debbie Clark (Debbie.clark@aureusgroupllc.com)   Assist with the Reflections Gallery, a display of student artwork for the National PTA's Reflections program   Help promoting other arts education programs throughout the year FIELD DAY   Chairperson: Heather Talan (heather@thetalans.com)   Help organize T-shirt orders and distribution to the students   Help with the preparation of games by making signage (could be done at home) and setting up   Help run the games and events on Field Day PROGRAMS   Chairperson: Euting (jesseuting@yahoo.com)   Help decorate the stage area for student PTA performances throughout the year. You do not need to be present during the evening performances, and decorations can be worked on before the performance dates during times convenient for you. GUIDED READING LIBRARY   Contact: Pam Schaefer (schaeffp@friscoisd.org)   I can occasionally help sort and stock books in the guided reading library. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday FRISCO STORYTELLING   Contact: Jacob Bailly (jacob.bailly@gmail.com)   Help out as a festival (field trip) guide during the Frisco Storytelling field trip on Friday, October 9. Festival guides will meet student groups when they arrive at the park and lead students to their schedule events, lead students back to their busses for the return trip to campus and handle minor problems. FUN RUN   Contact: Manisha Shrivastava (alokman@tx.rr.com)   Help with various activities preparing for and participating in the Fisher Boosterthon Fun Run. The Fun Run, on October 15, 2009, is very important because it is the one major PTA fundraiser for the year! (Note that this is a completely different event from the annual Gary Burns Fun Run.) More details about the specific volunteer opportunities at the Fun Run will be available as we get closer to the event.
